Hungerford Names Matt Clarin Chief Operating Officer

Hungerford has named Matt Clarin as the firm’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. In this expanded leadership role, Clarin will oversee operations across the organization’s divisions, helping drive strategic alignment, operational excellence, and continued innovation throughout the firm.

Clarin has served as President of Hungerford Technology helping businesses leverage technology to improve performance, security, and growth. Under his leadership, Hungerford Technology has become a trusted technology partner for small businesses throughout West Michigan, delivering managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and strategic technology consulting.

As Chief Operating Officer, Clarin will work closely with firm leadership to execute Hungerford’s long-term strategic vision, strengthen collaboration across divisions, optimize operational performance, and ensure the firm continues delivering exceptional service to clients in an increasingly connected business environment. He will continue to remain actively involved in the leadership and strategic direction of Hungerford Technology while assuming his new firmwide responsibilities.

Throughout his career, Clarin has remained deeply engaged in the West Michigan business and technology community. He serves on the Technology Council of The Right Place, supporting the region’s growth as a hub for digital innovation. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Cascade Hemophilia Consortium, an organization that supports individuals and families affected by hemophilia and bleeding disorders, a mission that is deeply personal to him and his family.

A graduate of Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business, Clarin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and has built a career centered on helping organizations embrace innovation while maintaining operational excellence.
