Education/Certification

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Accounting and a minor in Spanish, from Eastern Illinois University.

What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?

I have in-depth experience with manufacturing accounting, and internal audit. Having worked in the private sector for the last twenty years in manufacturing companies both publicly traded and privately held, I have a wealth of knowledge of the inner workings and management of large companies and corporations.

How do you like to give back to the community?

I am a big advocate for women and motherhood. I am the current Treasurer/Event Coordinator of Maternal Wellness Program. Maternal Wellness Program is a local non-profit that provides support for postpartum depression/anxiety, pregnancy and infant loss and pregnancy after loss. I am also a West Michigan representative of the National Share Program who certified me as a peer support and support group facilitator.

What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?

I truly thrive on getting to know my clients and everyone, learning about them, and seeing where I can be an asset to them. I love a challenge and seeing big changes happen. And if you need to find a needle in a haystack, you can count on me to find it.

Accomplishment you’re proud of?

I am proud of the well-rounded experiences that I have experienced in my career, they have shaped me both professionally and personally. I have visited 24 foreign countries and have audited in 12 of them. The three that have made the biggest impact on me and have taught me the most about the world outside of the US, have got to be Spain, Japan, and Brazil.

Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)

I love spending time with my husband and our two young boys. We are transplants to Michigan and have fallen in love with West Michigan. We spend most of our weekends in the summer on Pickerel Lake, and in the winter on the slopes. I have too many hobbies to list, but reselling antique/vintage finds and diy home projects are my top two.
